Mr. Lawrence Sebastian Correa, the Founder and Proprietor of Kanara Fire Protection Company, is the driving force behind the organization’s growth and credibility. In 1971, his career began humbly at Grovers Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, where he worked as an Assembly Technician. During his free time, his curiosity and passion for engineering led him to assemble and sell devices such as temperature controllers, indicators, and water level controllers — a reflection of his dedication, craftsmanship, and drive to learn beyond the ordinary.

After ten years at Grovers Electronics, he joined Kooverji Devshi Fire Protection Services Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai as a Commissioning Engineer. Over another nine-year journey, Mr. Correa travelled extensively across India, commissioning and servicing fire protection systems for factories, power plants, warehouses, and large industrial facilities. Through his sincerity, technical expertise, and reliability, he earned immense trust from both his employers and clients, becoming one of the most sought-after engineers in the company — a professional known for his integrity and results. 

Encouraged by a design-engineer colleague who recognized his potential, Mr. Correa took the bold step of establishing his own venture. With a humble beginning as a one-man operation, Kanara Fire Protection Company was born — built on the principles of hard work, honesty, and excellence. His first major client was HSBC Bank, soon followed by prestigious names such as Oberoi Sheraton, BEST, Reliance, President Hotel, and TATA.

Through steady growth, the company expanded from a small team of five — composed of trusted friends and former colleagues — to a workforce of over 55 employees, serving more than 125 clients across India. Mr. Correa’s story remains an inspiration to everyone at Kanara Fire Protection Company — a reminder that sincerity, skill, and service can ignite success from the ground up.
